At Cirelli Coffee, our passion for family, relationships and coffee is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in the simple and honest philosophy of expressing our love for coffee by providing a range of uniquely flavorful blends that can be enjoyed by both coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.

As a child, I had always been surrounded by coffee…”I’d wake up to it for breakfast, finish a meal with it and end a gathering with family and friends with it”. Born to Italian migrants, some of my fondest memories of a child are of my father Frank letting me spoon the bit of melted sugar and coffee at the bottom of his ‘tazza’ (cup), and my mother Tina, pouring warm espresso over vanilla ice cream for a summer treat… It is this experience and my passion for quality that led me to start-up Cirelli Coffee Roasting Co Pty Ltd, with a desire to create an extraordinary coffee experience that would make our customers deliriously happy. I am Gianni Cirelli, and in 2011 I took the first step towards realizing that vision. Armed with a coffee roaster and a deep passion for coffee, I taught myself how to roast coffee, after visiting many roasting places and doing extensive research. As we grew, we moved to a larger space in Welland in 2013, transforming a tiny tin shed into an all-day roasting place where people could come and watch us roast while enjoying fresh zeppole made by my mum. Our commitment to traditional values, exceptional tasting coffee, and building long-standing relationships with our customers is what inspires us. Our packaging is designed to provide a distinct handmade imported feel, tracing its origins back to Italy. Our first three belnds were designed to acknowledges the world’s premier growing region from which Cirelli Coffee sources its beans, in the most beautiful way – passport stamps!! Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, Sumatra…It is as though each bag has travelled the globe.

Our bags are each sealed with an Italian inspired insignia tamper seal dated with the year Cirelli Family migrated from Italy.

We are very selective from where we source our beans from. We work closely with them to bring you the finest selection of green coffee. Our specialtyy beans are roasted on demand to provide the freshest roasted coffee to purchasers. Each origin is roasted individually in small batches and then blended. We do this because each of the beans have their own characteristics to add balance, body and crema. Once they are roasted, they are cooled down, destonned and then blended. This is evident in bean colour variation. This means every bean is roasted at its individual optimum

Quality and attention to detail is part of the Cirelli Coffee culture. We’re Italian, so coffee runs through our family history, and when Franco Cirelli (Cirelli Snr) migrated to Australia in 1962, whilst his possessions were few, he also brought with him a wealth of old Italian sayings he remembered from a child – “Gli Antichi Proverbi Italiani”, the old proverbs about life, love, food and family that remind us to make time for the important things in life. They helped him relate to daily life in a foreign country. We captured those sayings and placed them in the opening of our original 250g retail bags. These wise little reminders have been part of our lives growing up, as they were for our parents and grandparents. They pay homage to Franco Cirelli, his life and achievement. They help preserve the Cirelli legacy and celebrate Franco Cirelli’s Italian origins.

They are wise, humorous, and truthful, covering all facets of life: work, relationships, weather, food and family. They may have relevance to your life. So while you drink Cirelli Coffee, you can read, share and think about a tradition that dates back generations.

2022, the crew that brew, grew and moved into our new home on Port Road Allenby Gardens. We’re changing and growing, but our coffee is still the same. Cirelli Coffee Roasting Co – Allenby Gardens is a real working roastery. In this unique space of our roastery warehouse, customers can indulge in a beautifully hand crafted coffee, purchase retail coffee beans. Come in and see the process and savour the aroma – as beans spill out of our small batch, Giesen, cast iron drum roaster. This is our tool to unlocking each coffee’s true character. We roast each coffee variety seperately to capture the peak of flavour in each coffee. We hope you’ll visit our store and see the process first-hand.
